- July 30, 2014 - first release
- Aug 11, 2014 - Google-like search introduced. It is now possible to find text in your spreadsheets even if the keywords include misspellings, lacks letters or has too many letters.
- Sep 11, 2014 - Google-intellisense enabled, which means everytime a new character is keyed in by the user in the search box, a search is actually performed so you immediately know the search results. No need to hit the enter key anymore.
- Sep 24, 2014 - much faster search by searching shared strings instead of all cell strings (including duplicates)
- Sep 24, 2014 - much faster user interface by using a virtual list for search results, instead of dumping all results in a potentially big list.

- Feb 5, 2015 - native support for Excel XLSB files.
- Mar 24, 2015 - integrated search add-in in Excel. Tested with Excel 2007, 2010 and 2013. The product is installed in two flavors : stand-alone and add-in so you can search text in your spreadsheets outside and inside Excel.
- June 20, 2015 - trial version mostly unlocked to make it possible for customers to see what the tool can do, before they purchase a license of the search tool.
- July 20, 2015 - sorting columns is enabled.
- Nov 22, 2015 - support for Word documents (.DOCX and .DOCM files)

- Jul 24, 2017 - the user can choose between a flat list and bubble clouds as search results. Bubble clouds give an instant meaning to search results as bubble sizes grow as search matches
- Sep 2, 2017 - 100% Unicode support (filepaths and user interface). No more problems with alternate codepages (Chinese, ...)
- Dec 22, 2017 - support for searching in VBA macros for Excel, Word and Powerpoint files.
- Feb 20, 2018 - natural language search and business intelligence calculations.
- Sep 28, 2018 - installer removed, add-in removed, now the search tool can run right-after downloading it by double-clicking on xlssearch.exe
- Dec 13, 2018 - two additional keywords, TOP and BOTTOM added to natural language search in order to sort calculated items one way or the other.
- May 5, 2019 - Exact match mode for matching keyword and content exactly, comes as additional mode among a list of 4 match modes : Match, Score, Order and Exact.
- May 12, 2019 - New option for combining typed keywords : AND/OR
- Nov 3, 2019 - Log window added to bottom of user interface.
- March 31, 2020 - ESC key can be used to abort the search process at any moment.
- Jan 5, 2021 - option for disabling search inside sub-folders

- Sep 1, 2021 - product can now search macro links associated to text boxes, vector shapes, charts, pictures and form controls.
- March 24, 2022 - the relevance bars tab pictures search results in horizontal bars on a per sheet basis
- February 15, 2023 - support for Microsoft Word .DOC files
- April 2, 2023 - support for strict ISO 29500 files
- Jan 24, 2024 - introduction of sheet view for viewing/navigating cells of interest right within the search tool
